When people who are experiencing grief are given the tools to deal with loss directly, they realize they don’t have to "just get through it".
 
There is a step-by-step process, called The Grief Recovery Method, to help you work through the emotion, let go of the pain, and heal your heart.
 
We all experience loss. Grief is a natural response regardless of the type of loss and because every relationship is unique, everyone’s response is unique. Jen uses the Grief Recovery Method to lead clients through actionable steps that identify the emotions surrounding the loss, work through those emotions, and regain a sense of well-being.
 
Grief recovery does not mean forgetting.
 
It means letting go of the pain, respecting your memories, and moving forward despite the loss without fear of being hurt again.
 
This allows us to find new meaning in life and to fully embrace our current and future relationships and experiences.

ABOUT JEN

Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist

As an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, Jen is passionate about helping people learn to live with loss so they can move forward and find peace without guilt or pain. 

 

She uses her 25+ years of experience as a veterinarian, behavioral clinical instructor, and certified pet loss grief companion to teach a specific step-by-step program to unlock and respect the emotional experience of grief, past and present. The pain from unresolved past grief is cumulative and can impact the intensity of the present loss, making it harder to move forward.

 

Every griever is listened to without judgment and with a commitment to absolute confidentiality and respect for the uniqueness and individuality of their grief journey.

My goal at Grief Recovery with Jen is to make you feel safe and supported, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP GRIEF SUPPORT

Whether you prefer a group or 1-on-1 setting, Jen offers a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. The group program is 8 sessions and the 1-on-1 program is 7 sessions.

INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PET LOSS SUPPORT

The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating. Sadly, the impact of the heartbreak of this type of loss is often downplayed or ignored by friends and family. This in-person 6-meeting program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief.

ONLINE GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL GRIEF SUPPORT

For those who prefer online meetings or aren't near an in-person program, this format is extremely effective. Jen offers a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced.Group and individual programs are available.

ONLINE GROUP OR INDIVIDUAL PET LOSS SUPPORT

For those who prefer on-line meetings or aren't near an in-person program, this online 6-meeting format is extremely effective.The loss of a pet can be emotionally devastating.
